We are gathered to honor the life, memories, and legacy of William Earl Mills Jr., also known as “Earl, Junior, and Junie.” He made his earthly debut on June 4, 1967 in Crestline, OH to parents, William Earl Mills Sr. and Clementine (Sherman) Alexander, both whom preceded him in death. Earl was one of ten children. He was the loving father of four children, one who preceded him in death, Brittany Mills; and two grandchildren.
Earl was educated in the Sandusky school system where he was able to showcase his many athletic abilities on both the football and track fields. His love of music at an early age allowed him to excel at the saxophone and violin. Upon the completion of high school, Earl went on to serve in the U.S. Army. After his military service he pursued various trades until he embarked on a career path in operations management.
Earl was known for his many talents, but he will mostly be remembered for those things which gave him endless enjoyment. He would spend countless hours on the fishing banks, writing poetry, sketching pictures, working on his cars, building things, and, most importantly, enhancing the lives of those who knew him, came into contact with him, and loved him.
Earl leaves to cherish his memory: step-father, Louis Alexander; sisters, Tracy (Greg) Huston, LaCretia Hollowell, LaCreeta (Demetric) Alexander, Felecia Alexander, Laura Mills, and Erica Mills; brothers, DuPre’ (Jennifer) Mills, William L. Mills, and Mickey Mills; daughters, Madison Wichmann and Danielle (Jose) Puentes; son, Christoffer Mills; grandchildren, Bianca and Isabella Puentes; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; special aunt and uncles, Carol (Bernard) Norton and Ulice Sherman; friends/brothers, Alex Hickey and William Northrip Jr.; niece, Ashley Wilburn; and friends, Shannon Wirsche and Abby and Linda Bryant.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 8 until funeral services begin at 12:30 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 83 Color Guard. In lieu of flowers donations to support the family and your condolences may be shared by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
