Tamara Nichelle Blakely, 27, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 6, 2019 in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born to Felecia Pollard and A.D. Blakely, Jr. on January 12, 1992. Tamara was educated in Sandusky City Schools and was employed by Great Wolf, Kalahari, and as a decorator at Jolly Donut. On occasion, she visited Greater Faith Church.
Tamara had a vibrant and loving spirit. Among her favorite loves in life, Tamara loved being a mother to her two beautiful daughters, Mina and Brooke Linn. She loved the color pink. Her favorite movie was “Save the Last Dance,” which was a testament to her heart. Tamara had a creative passion, which was represented in love for doing hair. Her love for art is witnessed in the many pictures and displays. Above all, she loved family, especially her siblings.
Tamara’s beautiful smile and memory will always be cherished by her two daughters, Mina Blakely and Brooke Linn Kirksey; mother, Felecia Pollard; father, A.D. Blakely, Jr.; brother, Roger Lawson Jr.; sisters, Miya Lawson, and Morgan Pollard; nieces, Emani and Sarai; grandfathers, Charles “Steve” Stevenson and John Henry Cohen; Godmother, Amy Christiansen; aunts, Yashicka Stevenson, Carol Blakely, Theresa Moore and Shashelia Cohen; uncles, Charles Stevenson, Jr., Chase T. Stevenson Sr., Mike Blakely and John Odum; best friend, Amanda Wilson; and many great aunts and great uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Beatrice “Bea” Stevenson; great-grandmothers, Lillie Hollinger and Cora Lee; and great-grandfathers, Raymond Hall and Simon Cohen, Sr.; paternal grandmother, Hattie Blakely; and paternal grandfather, A.D. Blakely, Sr.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Words of comfort from Minister Jeff Sherman of East Parish Street Church of Christ in Sandusky will begin at 1 p.m.
