Ralph Clinton VanScoy, 83, Sandusky, died Thursday, July 11, 2019, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Norwalk, OH on May 19, 1936, and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1954.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Firelands Pioneer Power Association, Oxford Grange, State and National Grange, and the Erie County Heritage Society.
Ralph retired from Circon, now Olympis Company, Norwalk in 2007,as a tool maker.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Barbara VanScoy; children, Mark (Yolanda) VanScoy, Bruce (Deena) VanScoy, Michelle O’Brian, Bret (Denise) VanScoy, and Greg (Alysica) VanScoy; step children, Brad Dwelle, Bonnie Dooley, and Bert Dwelle; thirteen grandchildren; five step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon VanScoy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gertrude (Underwood) VanScoy and a brother, Vernon.
Friends may call on Monday, July 15, 2019, from 4 P.M. until time of funeral services at 6 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Brad Koches will officiate. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 A.M. in Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwich, OH, with military honors. Memorial contributions in Ralph’s name may be made to one’s favorite charity.
