Nora Watson, 101, Sandusky, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019, at Parkvue Healthcare Center. Born on January 6, 1918, Nora made it to 101 and came close to making it to 102 years of age. She will never be forgotten.
Nora was born in Evangeline, Louisiana. She spent approximately half of her life in Texas and the latter half of her years in Ohio. Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and son. She is survived by her family: a daughter and son-in-law, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Nora was the matriarch of four generations.
Nora, affectionately referred to as Grana, had that joie de’ vivre. She was mighty fine and her smile lit up the room. Her strength was an inspiration. To Nora family came first. She always appreciated the sentiment come as often as you can and stay as long as you can.
Nora attended some college and cut draperies for a living. She was an avid church goer and volunteer. She enjoyed yoga, roller skating, sewing, reading, writing, playing the organ, and cooking. Nora was a trailblazer and always knew what was truly important.
