Mardell Woods, 65, Sandusky, died Monday, March 4, 2019, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 23, 1953 in Sandusky to the late Robert and Catherine (Madison) Collins, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School.
Mardell was employed at the former Brown Derby Restaurant and Cedar Point.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was director of the Cherub Choir. Mardell was the delegate for Second Baptist Church in the Church Women United, and she also served as the Administrative Assistant for the State President. She loved cooking and music.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Woods; sister, Gloria (Robert) Garr, Sandusky; brothers, Greg (Carolyn) Collins, Bear, Delaware, Tony Collins, Sandusky, and Glenn Collins, Lorain, OH; special Aunt, Annie Wright; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Bobbie Chaney, Darwitt Garrett, and Dora Ross.
Mardell was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Patricia Jones, and Michelle Collins; brothers, Michael Collins and Curtis Collins; grandmothers, Lillie Russian and Pearl Gardner.
Friends may call on Monday, March 11, 2019, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Second Baptist Church, 315 Decatur St., Sandusky. Rev. Reginald Taylor will officiate.
