Jimmie L. Jones, 64, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
Jimmie, better known as, “Coot,” was born to the late David and Alice Jones. He attended Perkins High School and was employed by the former Lorain Ford Motor Company plant and Brown Industrial Company.
He was a loving father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed helping others.
Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, Jujuan (Amber) Forney, Brock Anthony Stovall, Sr., and Damien Dion Stovall; daughter, Amber (Jeremy) Johnson; grandchildren, Deja Stovall, Jazmine Forney, Zion Forney, Jer Mayiah Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Brooklyn Stovall, Brock Stovall, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Keynon and Kennedy Jackson; sisters, Jessie Gordon, Johnnie Stovall, Nettie (Ron) Ellis, Demetriss Jones, Shirley Jones, and Dorothy (Butch) Jackson; brothers, David (Sharon) Jones, Lemon (Carolyn) Jones, William (Becky) Jones, Anthony Jones, Sr., and Ray Grant; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Patricia Benford; and sidekick, Paul Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jimeka Jones; brother, Roosevelt Cole, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Jones, Mary J. Wright, Ruth and Edna Jones, and Ruth Staten; nieces, Pamela Jones and Michelle Baines; and nephew, Darius Reynolds.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 until funeral services begin at 12 p.m. in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
