George A. Clements, 83, of Huron, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 in Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
He was born on November 26, 1934 to George W. and Helen (Holzhauser) Clements. He was a 1955 graduate of Huron High School, and proudly served in the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army.
He retired from Ferrell Gas, Norwalk. George was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and was an avid Ohio State fan.
George is survived by his daughter, Lori (Dr. Jeffrey) Dailey, of Findlay; son, Ken Clements, of Huron; grandchildren, Amanda, Meggan, Cody, Karen, Chris, Greg, Ken, Brianna, and Marie; great-grandchildren, Lyla and Brady; special friend, Linda Martin; and other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mabel (Watson) Clements, in 2014.
Private services will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Dr. Eric Bodenstab will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, where the American Legion Post 83 Color Guard will provide honors.
