Estel Ray Osburn, 83, Monroeville, died Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

He was born in Ottway, OH on May 1, 1936, to the late Ray and Dorothy (Smith) Osburn, and served in the U.S. Army.

He was a truck driver for many years.

Ray loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was an avid bowler, having bowled a 300 game, loved watching NASCAR, and especially sharing time with his children and grandchildren.  A member of the Four County Conservation Club, he was a hard worker and caring man.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn (Burkhart) Osburn, to whom he married February 26, 1958; children, Ray Osburn, Monroeville, Michael (Amanda) Osburn, Sandusky, and Sandra Elliott, Deltona, FL; grandchildren, Melanie (Mike) Shea, Anna (Kevin) Taylor, Anthony Simon, Ray A. (Kasey) Osburn Jr., Molly (Marcus) Skelton, Patty Espinoza, and Isaac Osburn; great-grandchildren, Sebastian Taylor, Gabriel Taylor, Olivia Skelton, Justice Skelton, Urijah Ojeda, Elias Osburn, Meghan Shea, Lily Johnson, and Eliana Cory; sisters, Geneva Culbertson and Mary Papale; son-in-law, Greg Starnes; daughter-in-law, Sherri Frisch; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John in 1995; and a sister, Ruth Harmon.

Friends may call on Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.  Rev. Tony Robinson of  Father's Heart Family Church will officiate.  Memorial contributions in Ray’s name may be made to Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, OH 44870.  Condolences and gifts of sympathy may be made to the family by visiting
