De’Yon Jordan Hill, 21, of Sandusky, went home to be with his Heavenly Father unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.
He was born June 17, 1998, in Sandusky. A 2016 graduate of Perkins High School, De’Yon also attended BGSU Firelands. Everyone who knew, and anyone who merely saw De’Yon, saw a young man with a smile that could literally light up a room. His hugs were hugs that made you feel as though that specific hug was “customized” just for you. His generous soul was a soul that loved hard. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
De’Yon leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Jeannine (Ronald) Cobbs; father, Billy R. (Cresha) Hill; brothers, Antoine Hill and Javelle Hill, both of Sandusky, and Marcus Cobbs of Columbus; sisters, Taylor (Tavarous) Turner, Rayeasha Hill, Billie Hill, Journee Hill, Antoria McClendon, Natalya Koch, and Natagious Koch, all of Sandusky; and a very special baby girl, Ariana Noelle (Mallori) VanWinkle; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leon and Harriette Warren; and paternal grandparents, Jackie and Rosemond “Ray” Hill.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky, and from 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, until funeral services at noon. The Rev. Franklin Churchwell will officiate.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements. Condolences may be shared with De’Yon’s family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
