Brian D. Austin, 37, Sandusky, died Sunday, August 5, 2018, battling a demon “Heroin”. For years he fought hard and long but the demon won. Heroin was more powerful than the love and words his mother gave him and more powerful than the love for his daughter, that we all know was his complete heart and soul. That shows how horrible this addiction is, he lost his battle and now another heart breaking reminder of the heroin epidemic in this country.
He was born in Michigan City, IN on March 16, 1981.
He is survived by his precious daughter, Kyleigh June Austin; mother Brenda Austin, Sandusky; maternal grandmother, June Gladwell, Sandusky; paternal grandmother, Betty Marvicson, Florida; cousin “brother” Rodney; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Austin; step father, Timothy Howard; maternal grandfather, Harold Gladwell; and uncles, Kevin and Jeff Gladwell.
Brian will be remembered and celebrated on Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 2-4 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Wear your shades, as he would get a kick out of it. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in care of Toft Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
