Brenda Lee Reel (Berkey), 59, of Collins, OH, died peacefully on November 18, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, OH.
Brenda was born on August 21, 1960 in Columbus, OH. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1978 and graduated from Sandusky School of Nursing in 1990 with a LPN nursing license and later achieved certification in wound care. She married William, Sr. and began working at the Erie County Care Facility in 1978, where she cared for many residents throughout her career. She retired in 2015 after 37 years of service, but continued to work PRN at the facility several days a week. Brenda loved the outdoors, including hummingbirds, traveling and camping with her husband, and working in her yard. She devoted her life to her family, enjoyed cooking, and adored her grandchildren. Her hobbies included cross-stitching, genealogy, and reading.
Brenda is survived by her husband, William Reel, Sr.; two sons, William, Jr. (Amanda) Reel, of Washington, UT, and Chad (Katy) Reel, of Aurora, OH; brother, Donald Pryor, of Kent, OH; and sister, Tina Ward, of Gramercy, LA; and grandchildren, William, III (Danielle), Emily, Natalie, Zach, Kellan, and Kasen; and great-grandson, Garrett Reel.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Damaris Conrad; and father, James Fields.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Friday November, 22 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. A service will begin at the conclusion of visitation.
