Sam John Anthos Jr., 75, Sandusky, died Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on November 29, 1942 in Wyandotte, MI, to the late Sam Anthos Sr. and Jeannette (Bertrand) Ward
Sam graduated from Sandusky High School and proudly served his country in The United States Air Force from 1961- 1965 serving in Pruim, Germany and from 1973-1975. He was employed by Ford Motor Company for 37 years until his retirement in 2004.
Sam was a lifetime member of the American Legion, VFW and the AMVETS. He was a history buff and a stock market enthusiast. He enjoyed, traveling the country and overseas, his beer, having a good time, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter Judy (David) Hanna; his grandchildren, Danielle and Matthew; his brother, Emile (Carol) Anthos; many nieces, nephews and other family members, including: Ed (Wendy) Hastings and Denise (Joe) Delucio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim Anthos.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 1 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 3 P.M. in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
